A few notes on this week's rant...

Just wanted to leave a note or two about this week's audio rant...

Obviously this wasn't one of my better rants. It's just been a really long week for yours truly, really mentally and emotionally dragging, and sometimes I have a thought, and if I don't have the time to just sit down and fully develop it AS it happens, I end up with something like this.

You notice that I mentioned the FISA court. There were several other issues that I really wanted to unleash on, such as FEMA, the Ports deal, the rampant cronyism going on, and the blatant abuses of government power that aren't directly connected to the Bush Imperium but are still working against it (re: Abramoff/DeLay/Cunningham). Obviously I could have chosen several more issues, but FISA situation is probably the most divisive and the pressure from the Imperium to allow this to go on unquestioned and unchecked is the most blatant.

I'd have more respect for the Democrats if they actually got their act together and offered a united response to the Imperium and their power-grabs. I still wouldn't agree with them, but I'd have more respect for them.

By the way, NOW IS THE TIME for Libertarians to really step up. The Dems are refusing to back Congressman Feingold's censure motion, they don't want to talk impeachment, they continue to HOPE that Americans will vote them back into power in November, but they don't offer anything substantive to prove they're a true alternative to the bloated elephants. It's high time that the TRUE supporters of freedom and responsibility step up.
