Oh crap here we go again! (updated)

Yes the Titanic sinks again... last week's show got played instead of the one that I was up until 2am to work on.

This week's actual show will air TONIGHT (Sunday) at 6pm on ShockNet Radio, both on the live streaming signal and via the iTunes player by going to the RADIO section and looking for ShockNet Radio in either the "Talk/Spoken Word" or "Classic Rock" categories.

Sadly, Freethought listeners will probably not hear the show. Sorry guys but this was out of my hands again. You'll just have to wait until next week when you can download the show either through the radio archives, or by subscribing to my free podcasts on iTunes. (You can find it by going to the iTunes store and doing a search for "David 2's Media".)

By the way, feel free to leave your comments by clicking on this link.

Brutally Honest on ShockNet - 07/26/08 Show Notes

Okay, so which is worse:

  • A presidential candidate that forgets to invite the media on his international trips and then accuses the media of bias when his opponent DOES invite them on his trip?
  • A theocrat who wants critics of Christianity arrested?
  • A jury that awards a jilted woman $150,000 because her would-be-fiancĂ©e discovered a costly secret?
  • Or a neocon shock jock who calls autistic kids "frauds"?

Find out which one I think deserves the "four-flusher"!

Plus: Bush Junior shows his Marie Antoinette side, the FCC and the Department of Justice get kicked in the nuts by the same court in 24-hours, store owners need to put down their brooms in one city, and find out what the connection is between comic book heroes and celebrities.

All of that is THIS SATURDAY from 7-8pm Eastern time on ShockNet Radio, and simulcast on Freethought Radio and Apple's iTunes radio player under both the "Talk/Spoken Word" and "Classic Rock" categories.

BREAKING NEWS: COPA is UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

This just came in this evening… A federal appeals court has struck down the latest federal censorship law, declaring it to be, like its predecessor, grossly UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

The Child Online Protection Act, better known by its abbreviation of COPA, is the bad sequel to the Communications Decency Act, which was passed by Republican theocrats and signed into law by a Democrat Narcissist. This would outlaw any material online that children COULD access that would be deemed “harmful to minors”. The only way a website operator would be protected would be if they set up a commercial subscription service that would require validation by merely a credit card.

I’m going to have a lot more about this on my show this weekend, but I just wanted to say that I’m glad this decision came out the way that it did.

Brutally Honest on ShockNet - 07/19/08 Show Notes

The political process is under a microscope this week. First up is the state primaries and why it's important for voters to pay attention to them. Then I look at how the President of the United States gets his job and how people want to change that... and why their suggestions are not only contrary to what American's Founding Fathers had in mind for this country, but it will really screw over Americans.

Plus, we have news stories "Off the Wire", and you won't believe what this week's "big dump" recipient did to get his special Four-Flusher "Unflushed Award"... or WHY he did it!

All of that is THIS SATURDAY from 7-8pm Eastern time on ShockNet Radio, and simulcast on Freethought Radio and Apple's iTunes radio player under both the "Talk/Spoken Word" and "Classic Rock" categories.

Brutally Honest on ShockNet - 07/12/08 Show Notes

Quick, what does a spouse-beater and a tyrant have in common? Well you might have a clue, but this week I lay it all out for you to ponder.

Plus, it's the return of "Off the Wire", the return of Washington's own Elmer Fudd, and a whole bunch of new recipients of the "Unflushed Awards", including one from a certain ad campaign that I'm sure has made you want to do something other than what they originally intended.

All of that is THIS SATURDAY from 7-8pm Eastern time on ShockNet Radio, and simulcast on Freethought Radio and Apple's iTunes radio player under both the "Talk/Spoken Word" and "Classic Rock" categories.

Drew Carey's "Banned" film

No it's NOT what you think...

Although I'm a little more partial to the Penn and Teller version.

Gravel's Declaration of Independence

Mike Gravel was the only Democrat I would ever vote for president. This is one of the reasons why.

Just because this is the Independence Day weekend doesn't mean that I haven't forgotten about you Brutally Honest listeners!

This Saturday we take a trip down memory lane with three classic rants that you probably haven't heard before.

What, you say? Classic rants that you haven't HEARD before? What's up with that?

Well it'll make perfect sense when you tune in this Saturday! That's at 7pm Eastern time, 6pm Norman time on ShockNet Radio, and simulcast on Freethought Radio and Apple's iTunes radio player under both the "Talk/Spoken Word" and "Classic Rock" categories.

Happy July 4th!

As promised, the archive to last weekend's special show has been loaded today. Those of you with iTunes can subscribe to the podcast archives and download the show for free. Just go to the iTunes store and search for "David 2's Media".

Meantime, I hope everyone has a GREAT July 4th celebration.

Here's a photo from the 4th of July celebrations of a few years ago out on Lake Lanier.(Mind you, the lake has gone done to critical levels in the past few years, thanks in no small part to the malicious actions of the US Army Corps of Engineers and the Governors of Alabama and Florida, so it is unlikely that kind of celebration can go on at that location this year. With government wonks like that, who needs terrorists?)
