The unpleasant news of Brutally Honest's radio schedule...

Okay... good news and bad news concerning "Brutally Honest on ShockNet Radio".

First the good news:
This show is NOT GOING AWAY!  

Brutally Honest WILL continue on ShockNet Radio in 2013.

I want to make that point clear because of the next piece of news.

Our last radio show of 2012 will be on November 5th, the night before Election Day.

Believe me when I say the choice was not mine to make.  This comes from ShockNet Radio.  There are things that must be done so our winter break will start earlier than usual.

SO what that means is that instead of a holiday special to wrap up the year, we will have an Election Special.  If you haven't voted already, if you live in a state that doesn't have early voting, or if you're just a stickler for tradition and you are one of those mythical "undecided voters", THIS is the show you need to hear.

And if you REALLY want to know why I won't end the season with a holiday special, then all you have to do is look at a calendar.  Is it Thanksgiving yet?  No.  If we were ending the season just after Thanksgiving, that would be one thing.  But we're not.  It's bad enough that the stores creep the holidays in like cancer; I'm not going to do the same on my radio show.  (And NO I am not in the mood to be getting the SCRIPT from people telling me that "stores are pressured to bring in the holidays early to make up for the money they're not making for the rest of the year.") The HOLIDAYS - plural - start on Thanksgiving and end on New Year's Day.  Not before, and not after.

The next question is when the 2013 season of "Brutally Honest on ShockNet Radio" will begin.  That date is Monday, January 28th, 2013.  And what I will bring to that season will depend largely on what happens between Election Day and Inauguration Day.

But don't think that the end of the RADIO season will also mean the end of the COLUMN!  Oh, no, we'll still have THAT going into December!  I will still end the WRITTEN "season" with the 2012 Brutally Honest Awards as I have for all these past years.  So if you still need a "Brutally Honest Fix", you'll still get it for one more month after the radio show takes a break.

So we have three more radio shows left for the year.  Let's make them count.  I'll do my bit.  All you have to do on your part is tune in.
