Brutally Honest on ShockNet - 02/21/09 Show Notes

Tonight's show should be just a little LOUDER than usual. Sorry, but I got a brand new broadcaster's microphone and I've been trying to get all of the bugs out, and one of those bugs is the balance between music and voice. So if I blow out your eardrums, I'm sorry.

Tonight's show is Obama-Obama-Obama... no really, there's A LOT of Obama stuff in this week's program.

We have an All-Obama-related news segment. Every news story has President Obama in it in some fashion. Then we have the second in our "Dangerous Words" series, and where it ties into Obama? Well that's for the third segment, which talks about change and the WORST kind of change that our new President can bring to this country. See, I wasn't kidding.

By the way, I have something important that I MAY be announcing, but it won't be on the show this week... it'll be over at the Brutally Honest blog site, and possibly during next week's broadcast. Let's just say it'll mean more exposure for both myself and ShockNet Radio. (No, not THAT kind of exposure, although I would LOVE to work with Dianne and Cynthia to get some new headshots at some point.)

Oh, I almost forgot... for those of you that liked to complain about the language, you'll probably enjoy the fact that my colorful explicatives have been muted this time around. See, I don't curse ALL of the time! I HAVE done an FCC-friendly show before... but that has to be of MY CHOICE, not the choice of some self-righteous prude.

All of that is TONIGHT (02/21) here on ShockNet Radio at 7pm Eastern Time (6pm Norman time and 4pm Hefner Time) over at www.shocknetradio.com and also at Apple's iTunes Radio Player under either "Classic Rock" or "Talk/Spoken Word" categories.

I have a idea for something you could do for your show: the myths of Libertarianism. Like all Libertarians worship big business and think it can do no wrong, that they swallow everything Ayn Rand says, or its just anarchism for rich\middle class people. You're nothing like the rumors and such that I've heard so I'd like see your take on some of these sterotypes.

The other thing I wouldn't mind seeing is your opinion of the right-wing movie, American Carol. Other than Dickens would probably spin in his grave if he saw his story being used in this was.
