So... I spent the weekend thinking about what the discussion topic should be for this week's show, and I had TWO subject really dominate my mind.
The FIRST is the "Cult of the Athlete". This whole thing with the Ohio so-called "Sports HE-ROES" that were convicted of raping a 16-year older and the school system and the community that pretty much tried to sweep it under the rug because they worship the supposedly "promising athletes". As I mentioned in last week's show, this is really nothing new. We saw this with Jerry Sandusky and how he was able to get away with his actions for so long. But I want to know what you think on the subject!
The SECOND subject is what's going on with Cyprus and the banks. That little island nation is on the supposed verge of insolvency and their "solution" is to tax deposits, which caused the banks to close in fear that ordinary people would pull their money out. Is it right? Who is REALLY behind the "solution"? And are you afraid it could be done here? I want to know what you think!
