Before we get going I need to mention that we are still having problems with the Ourmedia component of our archives. We cannot upload the previous shows until the folks at Ourmedia get their act together, so when they do, we will put up all of the archives.
And now... LET'S TRY THIS AGAIN!
Once again we have to play catch-up due to the tornado that swept through the Oklahoma City area. While the broadcast facilities were thankfully not affected, it did come close enough for Station Manager RJ Evans to make the call to cancel the show last week. As such last week's discussion topic will be THIS week's discussion topic.
It is that time of year when we talk about graduation. Once upon a time only High Schools and Colleges had graduation ceremonies, but today even kindergarteners are having their own ceremonies. And with the colleges and universities, you have "big names" giving commencement speeches to challenge the graduates.
In previous years, I've done my own commencement address to those either going out into the "real world" or those going from one institution to the next. Of course nobody would pay me do give this kind of message, so I wasn't burdened to sugar-goat my advice. And since last week I lambasted the President of the United States for his "do better" speech, I thought I'd turn the speech role to you, the listeners.
Our discussion topic this week will be what advice YOU would give to the Class of 2013. What would you tell them? Would you give them practical advice? Would you give comedic advice? Would you tell them to shut up and just give you your latté? I want to know! Use our TOLL-FREE 800 number as your podium to speak to the Class of 2013!
Oh, and we'll also have our Quick Rants and maybe even some more "Sponsored Products" for you to enjoy.
Be sure to tune in THIS MEMORIAL DAY MONDAY (05/27), right here on ShockNet Radio at 8pm Eastern (7pm Central and 5pm Pacific) over at www.shocknetradio.com and also at Apple's iTunes Radio Player under the "Classic Rock" category.
And don't forget that I'll be in the "BH-LIVE" chatroom at www.shocknetradio.com during the show to discuss the subject LIVE, and I'll be taking your calls toll-free in the U.S. and Canada at 866-400-6684
Oh, and by the way, if you like what you hear, if you enjoy the conversations and rants, then tell your friends about the show and have them tune in as well!
When the truth is not enough, it's time for... BRUTALLY HONEST - LIVE!
